These are a sample of Jed's expressions. All of these shots were taken in about a minutes time.

Elder Holland

I recently had a chance to be a part of a photo session with Elder Jeffrey Holland. It lasted 13 minutes. It was an absolute delight, and I was so shy I said two words. The whole time.

Splash! Splash!

Mr. Splash is in the bath! Can you see the turbulent water? Yep, that's all our little Jed--the Splash Master.

Growing up.

This morning Jed and I were cuddling on the bed in between loads of laundry. He was smiling and making little chuckling noises as I tickled his cheeks and armpits. His big smiles are irresistible. Yesterday he learned a new trick--grabbing mom's hair in a tight little fist and pulling as hard as he can! Wheeee! What fun!

Anyway, so there we are playing and giggling on the bed when he looks up at me, broad smile, then his eyes crossed, rolled back in his head, and he was asleep. Instantaneously. Cute little darlin'. He woke up two and a half hours later.

He's asleep in my lap right now, hands up clenched in two chubby little fists, long eyelashes veiling buttoned close eyes.

I'm in love.

Today I boxed up and put his little newborn clothes away. Folding them made me a little sad. People told me they grew up fast... but I didn't realize that I'd be packing up clothes and putting them away for the next baby already. Jed's got to be at least 26 inches long by now. He's supposed to be 17 pounds at that length... but I think he's more like 13. He's long, all right, but he still has PERFECT little rolls at his ankles and thighs and chubby cheeks. His neck is surprisingly difficult to find beneath all that jowl. So, now all his clothes are just the right length but he still swims in them like a little monkey wearing man-clothes.

Oh, look, he's stirring.

I'll put up the new pictures later, ok?

An Eternal Moment Divided

All it takes is 1/125th of a second, and a really cute wife! ;-) M

An Eternal Moment

Sometimes having a photographer husband just means that your life's dorkiest moments are captured forever. Which isn't necessarily a good thing.

Great-grandma Taylor

Jed spends some quality time with his Great-Grandma Taylor

Visitors

Baby Jed finally got to meet his Grandma and Grandpa Stanfill, and his adorable Aunty Anne! They arrived from Indiana the 22nd and stayed for nearly a week. Most of Grandma's time was spent drooling all over and gurgling at the baby, most of Grandpa's time was spent drooling and googling at cameras online with his son, and most of Annie's time was spent trying to wrestle Jed out of his Grandma's arms.

:c) Just kiddin'!
Annie also did arts and crafts.

Here are some favorite photos from the week.

See Baby Jed's smile?!

The Jed Fan Club

Sorry we haven't been posting much lately. Why? Because the "Jed Fan Club" has come to town and we spend every day being wined and dined by his adoring harem of grandmothers, great-grandmothers, aunts, cousins, and even the occasional grand-dad. Lots and lots of photos forthcoming, promise!
