Over the years I have attempted many times to take pictures of lightning, and failed every time. Until last night, when we had a real proper lightning storm. Probably one of the more violent storms electrically we have experienced here in Indiana.

This one made me jump out of my skin.

Our kitchen @ midnight.

wow, these pictures are really rad. Love them, congrats on capturing the bolts.
Great pictures..we took videos of it..That storm was horrible loud & we are still amazed that our kids slept though it.
Great job Michael! I'm no stranger to thunderstorms, but that one was one of the LOUDEST and longest lasting storms. I felt like it stalled over our house for an hour. Our downstairs was just shaking... though upstairs in bed I didn't feel it :)
ohh lala! those pictures are gorgeous and also pretty terrifying at the same time. I tried shooting lighting too, I wasnt very good....maybe someday. Im clapping for you right now.
How awesome! I love it! It's been years since I've seen a good storm....
