Zozy

For most of my pregnancy, Jed emphatically declared that the baby would be a sister. When I was 7 or 8 months along, one evening we sat at lunch. Jed, tired before an imminent nap time, crumpled his face and started to cry. I asked him what was wrong.

"Mom," he said, "I need my Zozy."

"What do you mean, Jed?"

"I need my Zozy, I need my baby sister."

Funny, because we always, always referred to the baby as "Baby Z." But he knew all along it was his Zozy.

That's adorable. Someone told us that siblings have an uncanny ability to guess correctly. Sawyer is only 15 months old...he doesn't know the difference between a boy and a girl...but when we asked him, for fun, if he would have a brother or sister, boy or girl...she smiled and giggled and shouted "GRRL!" every single time.

Guess what? He was right! Aspen Jane is on her way!!!

You know, I think it amazing how intuitive children are. I think it's a sign that their spirits are so in tune to Heavenly Father and life in general. What a touching story!
