Maiden Voyage

Last week we took baby out on his maiden voyage in the car! He loves driving. Like any true Stanfill man, he quiets right down when his Dad revs the engine for that manly '92 Honda engine growl. I already feel the dearth of estrogen in our household. I think we need a female pet.

Jed's car seat is still a leetle big for him, so we support his head with a rolled up towel. And cover him up warm with a blanket. The result looks like this:

You guys do know you can buy little head supporty things - and save the towels for all the showering that's going on over there!

That is just the cutest dang thing I've ever seen, for one.

Does Jed hate his carseat? S is getting used to his, but still usually fusses for a while if I put him in it while awake...he's doing much better than he did (screaming the entire car ride to wherever) and now he usually just wails for a few minutes... I hate putting him in there, but it's one thing I'm not going to stop doing, no matter how he cries, because he has to be safe darnit! If only he could understand that!

Yeah, we know about the head supporty things... but the towel is so quick and easy. And free. And hilarious. Poor kid.
Actually, Jed LOVES his car seat! We got a convertible seat, rather than an infant seat, and that's why he looks so tiny in it. But he doesn't seem to mind. The second we turn the engine on he falls asleep and remains so for as long as we travel. The trickiest part is navigating the extremely drool covered chest guard clip while trying to get him out :c)
