I made him a cute cookie monster cake. It took him a while to get the idea that he was ALLOWED to eat something sweet and bright plastic blue, but once he got it he chowed down and ate a whole slice.

Baby Jed's First Birthday!
Today is Baby Jed's first birthday! We had a party. And boy, what a party pooper! He didn't crack a smile through the whole thing but we sure had fun. After everyone had left and he'd been allowed to strip down to his diaper and run around and chase balloons, his day seemed to look up. ha ha ha! What a funny kid!

They are just halves of used eggshells with black marker dots! I stole them from my mother-in-law's fridge.
Ping pong balls would probably be more sanitary, but I'd forgotten and time was short!

I love that cake...hope you don't mind if a copy shows up this year durring our birthday week. It's hard to come up with 3 awesome cake ideas in one week...but that one is sooooo cute! Our older kids have already put in their orders for what they want their cakes to be...a hula barbie doll and a car...but i think maybe addie needs a cookie monster! Cheers to one year down and an eternity to go!!! love you!
